I started my Slumber Parties business in August of 2005. I knew I would begin student teaching in January, and was looking for a way to earn money while preparing for my educational degree.
I was invited to a party and had a blast! I scheduled my own Slumber Party at my house. Three of my friends booked their own shows. When I realized just how much money could be made, I made the decision to sign on.
I was able to leave my full-time job a month earlier than expected, financially able to afford to. Seeing how fast my business exploded, I made the decision to not pursue a teaching career. I am able to spend more time with my family and have FUN when I go to work! Even though I am not working a “traditional” job, I make more money than I ever did working full time. I have job security, as I am my own boss. I now enjoy being a stay at home mom and spending my summers on vacation and at the pool.
